Inner Vision explores the idea that perception is shaped by more than what we see. Our emotions, experiences and inner perspective can influence the way we interpret the world around us.
The project uses bold colours, expressive shapes and symbolic imagery to create an open-ended visual narrative, allowing each viewer to form their own interpretation.
FROM PAINTING TO MOTION
The project began as an acrylic painting on canvas. The physical artwork was then translated into a digital illustration, preserving its main visual language while preparing each element for animation.

BUILDING THE ARTWORK
The final composition was recreated in Adobe Illustrator, breaking the artwork down into individual elements and layers. This allowed the character, clothing, eyes, clouds, lightning and background elements to be independently manipulated and animated.
BRINGING THE ARTWORK TO LIFE
The animation brings the different elements of the illustration to life, using subtle movements to explore the different ways we perceive and experience the world from within.
Eyes begin to appear across the blazer and gradually open, representing the many perspectives and ways of seeing that exist within us. The heart grows stronger, accompanied by the fire behind it, while the inner eye within the heart reacts to the surrounding eyes.
Around the character, the clouds tremble when lightning strikes. The eyes closest to each lightning bolt close in response to the sound, creating a small interaction between the different elements of the composition. In the background, the sun rotates continuously, suggesting the passing of time.
Sound was designed to reinforce the movement and create a stronger connection between the visual elements.
Lightning strikes are accompanied by thunder, while the eyes have individual sounds as they appear, open and close. The heartbeat grows alongside the heart and fire, accompanied by the subtle sound of burning embers.
These small sound interactions give each element a sense of presence and make the animation feel more alive.
VISUAL SYMBOLISM
The animation uses recurring symbols to explore inner perception and emotional experience.
The eyes represent the different perspectives and ways of seeing that coexist within us. The clouds suggest the thoughts, ideas and events that constantly move around us, while the lightning introduces moments of disruption that can interrupt our sense of calm and stimulate new ideas.
At the centre, the heart grows and fills with energy, represented by the fire surrounding it. Yet the eye within the heart can still react with fear, suggesting that even our strongest emotions can contain vulnerability.
The rotating sun moves continuously in the background, representing the passing of time, while the reflections appearing on the glasses connect the external world with everything happening within.
DESIGNER WITH A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH
I’m a graphic and digital designer with background in 3D, animation and visual communication. I enjoy combining different disciplines to develop visual concepts, identities and digital experiences.
